The Cadillac F1 team is just months away from its 2026 season debut. And while the luxury marque already released a single rendering of what its race car will look like next year, that blue livery isn't representative of what will be seen on track. In fact, the Caddy's true colors are still under wraps, but fans won't have to wait much longer to see them - just until Super Bowl Sunday.
Announced in a post on social media, the Cadillac F1 team will reveal its livery in an ad spot during the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8th, 2026. There's no teaser for what the race cars will look like, as the announcement simply shows the Caddy crest overlaid on a black and white image of a football.

The Cadillac F1 team is supported by sponsors whiskey distiller Jim Beam and clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger, so it's likely that the race cars will carry both companies' colors. The Cadillac crest itself is emblazoned in gold, red, and blue, so the race car could also sport those primary hues, too - just like the Cadillac V-Series.R in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
"It gives us a chance to introduce Cadillac Formula One team on a stage that reflects who we are," said Cadillac F1 team CEO Dan Towriss, speaking of the Super Bowl ad spot. "We're proud of our American heritage and we want to show up in a way that feels bold, innovative and distinctly ours. This is just the beginning, but it’s a moment I’m incredibly proud of."
Regardless of what the race cars look like, the Cadillac F1 team entries will harness Ferrari power at first. General Motors is approved as a power unit manufacturer, but its engines won't start rolling off the assembly line for a few seasons yet. Drivers Sergio "Checo" Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will pilot both of the luxury marque's entries.

With new engine rules for 2026, it is a good time for a new team to enter F1. It will be a steep learning curve.
There are going to be a lot of spin outs next year until the teams get used to the changes.
Had me interested until “Ferrari Powered” appeared in the article. I don’t see how they can call it a Cadillac, although future cars will be GM powered. Until then, well, it’s a Cadafari imho.
I borrowed it a couple of times, and man, touch the gas and that thing would blow your hair off.
Became my favorite car, even though it wasn't mine.
This year about half of the teams were running engines from Ferrari, Mercedes or Honda. The teams all have to build their own chassis. F1 held off admitting the Cadillac team until the last minute so they are getting a late start, but will join the list of engine suppliers too, in 2029.
I have a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Supercharged 6.2L V8, 668 hp. Car and Driver did a 0-150-0 mph test in 2023 and the Blackwing did the run in 24.7 seconds, only 2 tenths slower than the Porsche GT3 RS.
If the gt3 does not have a supercharger, wondering if that is a fair comparison…
It had leather seats, and it was kinda funny watching her Pekingese get dumped in the floor, because he didn't have anything to hold on to.
“future cars will be GM powered”
YEARS in the future. They need new engines to roll off the assembly line? WTH? F1 engines aren’t production engines.
The Porsche 911 Turbo was the fastest in the test. But it has all wheel drive so the launch is much faster. The GT3 has to meet the FIA GT3 regulations on power to weight. It would have been faster if it did not have the drag from the big rear wing. The GT3 is a track car, not a drag race car.
Wanted you good folks to see this...
Only car that could keep up with my redneck friends in the high school parking lot back in Geotgia.
Characteristics
Formula One currently uses 1.6 litre four-stroke turbocharged 90 degree V6 double-overhead camshaft (DOHC) reciprocating engines.[4] They were introduced in 2014 and have been developed over the subsequent seasons. Mostly from the 2023 season, specifications on Formula One engines, including the software used to control them and the maximum per-engine price to F1 teams of €15,000,000, have been frozen until the end of 2025, when the completely new 2026 spec will come into effect.
A 2025 Formula 1 engine produces around 1,000 horsepower, combining approximately 840 hp from the internal combustion engine and an additional 160 hp from the hybrid boost.
Thanks for posting.
As they said about the STS, years ago, it’s a “A muscle car in an Armani suit.”
Year? Model?
“Had me interested until “Ferrari Powered” appeared in the article....”
As mentioned above there are not too many engine manufactures in F1.
In F1 teams are named by the factory name first then the engine manufacturer (if applicable) second.
Examples:
McClaren Mercedes (the 2025 constructors champion)
— which used Mercedes power in a better chassis —
Mercedes
Ferrari
Red Bull Honda
Red Bull is working to have their own power plant in the next few years just like Cadillac.
Not very fast, but the 1990-92 Fleetwood Brougham D’Elegance was one of humankind’s most beautiful works.
