How about doing something about all the silly airline fees charged. How they will split up families to make them pay a preferred seat fee for each member. Its stupid and wrong.
Comfort animals are the biggest scam out there. I went to a Dollar General store and a guy had a dog as big as a pony. The biggest dog I ever seen in my life and it was in the store.
I am not opposed to the idea but I don’t see it as a priority or even in the top 100 concerns of the DOT.
If parents made their children behave play areas would not be needed.
“From needing more dedicated spaces for young children and exercise equipment, to finding places for mothers to nurse their children, to staying fit on the go, or struggling to find more healthy food options”
I smell a focus group!
Spot on! Preparing to take a flight “Shouldn’t take longer than the flight to your destination.”
Comfort animals are the biggest scam out there.“
It sure is. The F’n entitled celebrities started that BS and the Libs made it ubiquitous.
That too. Parents have allowed everywhere to be their screaming playground.
Update the antiquated traffic control software. That is family friendly.
I agree with the sentiment.
Don’t agree with the ‘investment’.
Let the industry fix itself instead of dunning the taxpayers and/or printing more fiat for what will just end up in the pockets of grifters.
Seems foolish to me, an overreach, and waste of tax dollars. He should be fired for this.
An airport should fund its own renovations. If anything, help fund improvements to air traffic control systems, communications, and more efficient TSA screening.
Last time I was in Walmart, there were two women with "Official Emotional Support Dogs". One woman with a fairly large, well behaved German Shepherd. The other with an (as usual for the type) obnoxious Chihuahua/toy-poodle mix. The two pairs eventually met in an aisle that I just happened to be in at the time too. The little mutt attacked the larger dog with no provocation. Cans and jars everywhere. I don't think either of the women's emotions were well supported that day.
Its always the little dogs starting crap.
Let the private sector do it, just make sure there is adequate seating at the bar/restaurant to catch a bite and beer before the trip or during a layover.
Privatize AMTRAK.
That would make my day.
Casually burning $1 Billion on useless garbage that will cost another $1+ Billion to maintain and dismantle. Provided by Pelosi Construction Company, probably.
Just fix the ATC and computer problems, and streamline/eliminate TSA. Put random air marshalls onboard or let people conceal-carry onboard as volunteers.
Taser or waste people who act out or try to mess with the plane or crew.
Ban people who are a pain in the @$$ from flying for five years.
No playgrounds, no crap for kids, which would always be empty/dirty/broken/dark. A waste of square footage.
Leave travelers alone in their choice of food, cocktails, etc. The 'healthy food while traveling' is an asinine concept. Just leave serious American people alone. This guy doesn't have a lick of sense. We don't want the government telling us what to eat. Anywhere, least of all at the airport.
Most people would agree with a ban on children flying BTW.
That's where most peoples' heads are at... not at giving kids more reasons to fly.
ATTENTION YUPPIES
A FEW DAYS WITHOUT INTENSE EXERCISE WILL NOT KILL YOU.
