It will help the farmers who lost their crops this past years due to weather modifications.

If all farmers disappeared in the U.S., it would lead to immediate, catastrophic food shortages, mass starvation, economic collapse, and the end of civilization as we know it, as agriculture underpins food, clothing (cotton, wool), and many medicines; land would revert to wilderness, but without expertise, production would halt, leaving cities to die, while the long-term effects involve complete reliance on dwindling foreign supplies and synthetic alternatives, ultimately meaning no one would survive without a return to basic food gathering.

This is AI, so a grain of salt. I’m getting old, none of my three kids want anything to do with it, four years of drought, if Mr. Trump wants to allocate some money to the American farmer, which is some of my Fed Income Tax dollars I’m ok with that.

Farmer grew crops, such as soybeans, anticipating typical demand from China. Supposedly the tariffs changed the Chinese orders, so farmers took a hit.

Markets should have some stability and predictability, of course some is uncontrollable but where there is a direct effect, there is no harm in using the tariff funds to correct some of that.

We need a free market in agriculture, not more people added to the dole because they are Trump supporters.
