The "radical" Left in Germany is viciously anti-democratic, and uses violence as did the fascists and Communists used to do through the last century. Today's costuming of them as "anti-fascist" is no real change from the 1930's forward.

But it fears the Alternative für Deutschland rising through the democratic process of elections. That same fear is seen by the German socialists ( SPD ), the Greens and still=approved Marxistisch-Leninistische Partei Deutschlands. Germany is trapped in the game of defining a "right wing" by the hardened Left wing.
