” . . .pit bull advocacy group Animal Farm Foundation. . .”
Interesting name choice.
Ugly azz dog with a bad reputation for a reason. A lot can blamed on the owners but the dog was bred for blood sports a reason.
A site I like to check from time to time is https://www.dogsbite.org. The people who own these dogs are delusional and that applies to a couple of my in-laws who are rescue advocates. Nuts.
I know the “Right to Keep and Bear Animals” is SOMEwhere in the Constitution, hiding there in the emanations and penumbrae of privacy which allowed SCOTUS cover for sanctioning preborn human sacrifice for fifty years.
At least this is how the a$$hats who continually protect and defend Pit Bull type dogs present it.
Though there are many who seem to think keeping wild, non-domesticated dangerois animals around people is just fine, even ones that get off-leash frequently terrorizing neighbors, killing livestock, etc. “Oh, they’s jess dogs.” I don’t see it that way and I shoot strays (dogs and especially cats) on sight on my farm, having been trapped on a roof once by a neighbor’s pit bull until the dog got bored and trotted off. It and several of its pack mates’ remains eventually disappeared into one of the hollers hereabouts.
I value human life more highly than others, i guess.
Priorities
Cynaphobes circle jerk.
she died doing what she loved
RIP.
I think I’ll stick with my Cairn Terrier.
Breaking up a dog fight, especially one with a pit bull is dangerous. Considering their purpose and reputation, they should not be in close contacts with other strange dogs . There are many people who own them with no problem. This was a strange dog in a dog fight. Feel sorry for this lady and her family. I personally wouldn’t own one. That goes for breeds like Presa Canarios, Dogo Argentinos, etc. You want a guard dog, get a German Shepherd or Dobermann. Dogs have been a close companion of ours for MILENNIA.
As for the child, BLAME THE PARENTS OR GUARDIANS.
My Golden Rule ... one pit bull ... one 9mm ... problem solved.
Wow, yet another mere coincidence from the “sweetest dogs” in America.
Appalachia is overrun with pits. A family down the street are professional fosters and they had a “drug guard” dog for a while. Thankfully it is gone. I think it left with the girl when she got booted when she turned 18.
A breed that should be allowed to die out.
I am surprised some arsehole hasn’t crossed pit bulls with Jack Russell’s to make them even more psychotic.
Nearly every morning I pass (on the other side of the street) a man walking a large, black pit bull which he can barely control. When the dog sees me and my small dog, he starts barking and snarling and rears up trying to get free - the dog has on one of those huge “choke collars” - and is still able to struggle, hard.
I have no doubt that dog would kill my dog - and possible me as well - if it were to break free.
Most of my neighbors now carry some kind of repellent spray. I’m thinking of carrying my handgun now on neighborhood walks, that is the only thing that would stop that vicious beast.
