LOUISVILLE, Ky. (TCN) -- A popular YouTube personality known as “Mr. Crafty Pants” for his online arts and crafts tutorials was arrested Oct. 22 for allegedly possessing and trading explicit images of minors on Kik, a messaging app.
Michael David Booth, 39, was charged with 29 felony counts related to possessing and distributing matter portraying sexual performances by minors. He appeared in Jefferson County District Court on Oct. 23 and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
According to WDRB, court docs say the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped police off about Booth’s Kik account. A subpoena and search warrant reportedly revealed that the IP address allegedly used to send explicit images of children between Aug. 5 and Aug. 7, 2025, traced back to Booth’s home.
Files obtained during the search warrant showed three images of minors under the age of 12 that had been shared 12 times and three images of minors over age 12 distributed 15 times, WAVE News reports.
Booth is in jail on a $100,000 bond. A judge has barred him from contacting minors and accessing the internet.
The “Mr. Crafty Pants” channel had almost 600,000 subscribers at the time of Booth’s arrest. It has since been taken down.

Such a shock.
I knew that pocket puppet show would be trouble.
I assumed that from the name “Mr. Crafty Pants”, but the picture confirms to a higher probability.
Yeah. How likely is it? Obviously another “lone wolf.”

Sometimes they write themselves...
Sometimes the headlines write themselves for the Babylon Bee.
I was just talking about Duckman last week. I remember that, the Hitchhiker and USA Up All Night.
Looks the part.
Who could have known?
never heard of him or Kik site
but it is interesting that some folks think that they can get away with openly advertising whatever on the world wide web......and the “authorities” won’t ever see it?
that’s really unrealistic
