Cindy Blackman Santana is married to Carlos Santana.They got married on December 19, 2010, in a ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. Cindy Blackman is a renowned jazz and rock drummer (known for her work with Lenny Kravitz, her own bands, and many jazz legends), and she has been performing and recording with Carlos Santana’s band since 2007, including as a full member of the Santana band in later years.
She legally added “Santana” to her name after the marriage, which is why she is professionally known as Cindy Blackman Santana. They do not have children together, but they frequently collaborate musically and tour together.
Cindy Blackman Santana was born on November 18, 1959, making her 66 years old as of December 2, 2025 (her birthday is still 16 days away).
Carlos Santana was born on July 20, 1947, making him 78 years old as of December 2, 2025 (he turned 78 in July).
I had never heard of Ms Blackman-Santana nor did I know they got married.

Cindy is one of the best drummers I’ve ever seen perform. You should see her drum solo. Super talented.

Thankfully, most people don’t give a shit.
I’ve seen Cindy play with Santana numerous times at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. I always had front row seats and thought she was excellent. Carlos was also great but would interject his political at times.
Sina is incredible.
