Some of the "D" leaders, moreover, are on the brink of becoming full-on communists and appear eager to do so.

A lot of Republicans are really democrats so and they manage to keep questionable Speakers and Majority Senate leaders in power. Texas managed to move farther left even though republicans had a super majority in the legislature.
