I opposed John Kennedy’s idea to bring in so many Afghan nationals. I told Kennedy it was reckless and dangerous. Ultimately, Kennedy and Biden won, and our country was flooded with unvetted Afghan nationals. This video has the receipts.
In 2013, I put forward legislation to suspend visas from high-risk terrorism countries and to require thorough background-check waiting periods for all others, so Americans can be confident our visa system keeps terrorists out
In 2015, I also introduced legislation to stop taxpayer-funded benefits for newly arrived refugees from high-risk countries.

Both are among our better senators, Kennedy clearly messed up here if the details all check out. Paul has the better record overall though.
But yet he wants illegals to remain in this country if they haven’t broken the law since they’ve been here, despite the fact that they broke the law when they came here. Defend that stance.
He supports illegals being allowed to stay here. That's not a better record in my point of view. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Lets face it, Neocons and democrats joined forces to bring in the Afghans. They said that the Afghans risked their lives for the Americans. But the Afghans were mercenaries willing to work for the highest bidder. They would kill fellow afghans for a certain price. And they would kill Americans for another price. Our CIA are horrible judges of character. They don’t know who could adapt to American life. The CIA only preys on a persons greed or weaknesses. So when the CIA wants someone to come to America, we should not listen. They are just time bombs. They are not loyal to America. They are loyal to money.

we need to grow up and realize that there’s a very very serious problem in the Islamic world
and if we felt it appropriate to help some Afghani Moslems relocate when we quit there, we should have helped them move to a Moslem-controlled country where they’d be safer (and we’d have been safer, too!)
allowing or bringing them into western countries in large numbers is a suicide strategy
