There was a time that “Sunday Best” meant the clothes you wore to church. This summer at my Catholic church I saw a guy in shorts, flipflops and a Hawaiian shirt.

That was our deacons’ attire when we lived on Maui. They were an embarrassment!

When my wife’s sister was married, that’s what the groom and his groomsmen wore. It was an outdoor wedding in Hawaii. However, the bride and her bridesmaids wore dresses.
