Millennials and Gen Z have their turn
American Thinker ^ | 29 Nov, 2025 | Jay Davidson

Gen Z and Millennials will make up 60% of the votes in upcoming elections. The successful leaders will have done the work and articulated the principles that motivate this up-and-coming group. The old platitudes will not work. Neither will the old political parties.

These younger citizens reject the petulant Baby-Boomers’ vitriol and want answers to hard questions. These are the same questions every generation asks. It’s just gotten very real for this generation, and they want workable answers, not platitudes.

The excesses of past generations have finally come home to roost. The national debt crushes the younger generation’s ability to afford a home. Excessive federal spending on pipe dreams, like renewable energy, has robbed this generation of a reasonable lifestyle or career.

Young people want a strong , vibrant, free-market economy because they can work hard and smart and get ahead on their own efforts. They don’t want anything handed to them because it weakens their spirit.

They are tired of people who always kick the can down the road and say, “Let’s have a new government program to fix the problem.” Well, the movers and shakers of this generation see through that nonsense. They’ve seen the Federal Reserve destroy the buying power of their dollars by allowing inflation to cut into the buying power (dollar devaluation) of their money. They’ve seen a morally corrupt education system promise everything and deliver nothing. It’s become a system that tells what to think instead of teaching students how to think. They’ve seen a welfare and entitlement system create generations of despondent victims unable to break the bonds of a government handout.

They see their government hiring and paying bureaucrats at their expense, while they suffer under student loan debt and are unable to afford a starter house.

I don’t think most of Gen Z and Millennials see any of this. They vote overwhelmingly for the party that caused the financial mess. They voted for Mamdani.

The bottom line is that if people of any generation don’t wake up to being brain-washed, don’t become realistic about the evil of corruption, don’t follow Constitutional principles, don’t have personal integrity, don’t have strong solid personal values, seek only pleasure(s), don’t wake-up to being manipulated and don’t be MAGA-forward...their lives will suck to an extreme degree.

True for some young people, yes, but for what percentage? I missed that part.

Got to bring the young along.

Teach them about early savings, exp(x), low taxes, low regulations, low personal and low national debt, and the value of getting married, having kids, and staying married.

Teach them the Christian religion if they don't have any.

Show them patriotism, conservatism and capitalism, and warn them about the suicide mission of Communism in all its forms: libealism, socialism, feminism, environmentalism, LGBTQ+, etc.

Absolutely don't bash the younger generations. Support them financially, intellectually, emotionally, all ways. Be their friends.

Teach them about politics, which doesn't make sense to most people until middle age.

Petulant boomers?
Put the blame where it is deserved: Democrats.
Blame LBJ. All this started with the democrats handing out free s$&€ to lazy people for votes. It worked for them once and they’ve never looked back. Never met a “refugee” they didn’t love (unless said refugee was white).

When is it time for the old Q-tips of the right to gather at Senator Slotkin’s office, in Michigan, with a list of grievances? I will happily meet any of you there. One of the few States I have yet to visit.

A lot of Conservatives heap scorn on the younger generations. Lazy people who make bad choices and spend their money foolishly. Freaks. Weirdos. Bums.

And then the Conservatives get surprised when the younger generations vote for Socialists who explain that the young people are inheriting a rigged game with a $38T debt and corrupt institutions. A nation which has been fundamentally transformed in which the old American Dream is no longer available to most people.

Someone knows how to attract the youth vote. And it’s not us.

Back in the late sixties and early seventies I read articles like this citing the no nonsense new wave newness of the massive Boomer wave. The Boomers think this and the Boomers think that and the Boomers like this and the Boomers hate that. It’s deja vu all over again. Hope the new boss ain’t the same as the old boss…

I am at the point I utterly reject this “GenZ vs GenX vs Boomer vs Whatever crap.

People are so stupid they don’t see on its face this is just another way to subdivide people into another set of groups that can be pitted against each other.

And people don’t even think to ask themselves “Gee...who does this subdivision and pitting people against each others horsecrap?”

Millennials don't appear to be seeing any such thing. They are still waiting for the fully subsidized lifestyle Obama promised them.

Gen Z males are waking up, but Internet influencers are redirecting their wrath at nebulous targets like "Jews" and "Boomers" rather than at the specific political malefactors who made life harder for them.

Political malefactors like the Boomers? They were almost completely in charge when everything in America turned turned to crap right around year 2000.

It’s easier to vilify the *boomers* as a group than take personal responsibility for where you are in life.
