It pains me terribly. My husband is from your era and he and his classmates brought their guns to school so they could hunt afterwards to help feed their families. NEVER any word about hurting a human being.
What is terrifying is the absolute lack of concern for life these ferals have.
I went to high school in a former farming community near a big city. Graduated in ‘78. About 1/3 of the student body were from farming or ranches and most drove pickups. All of them had rear window gun racks and all of those racks had shotguns and or rifles in the racks. And all were parked in the high school parking lot. And never once did anyone take them out of the rack much less use one against a fellow student. The thought never even occurred to us.
