I live in Saint Augustine. There are plenty of African-Americans living here. I have not heard of any crimes by any racial group. Jacksonville, 30 miles north, much bigger city, is quite another story. I think the big cities all over United states have a much bigger crime problem.
St Augustine is amazing and I would love to live there, except for the fact that it has the flooding and it looks like you can only get into the city by that lion gate. The traffic can be pretty bad. Parking downtown is horrible. But some of the best pizza in Florida is at pizza time on St. George’s Street
Rural blacks in the Deep South tend to behave better as a general rule
But spontaneous personal violence over not a whole lot is more common in their group than any other worldwide
