LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A Laredo woman was arrested after police say she filed a false domestic assault report against her spouse.
40-year-old Ari Daniela Neri-Castro was charged with making a false report following an investigation that began around 1:05 p.m. on November 17.
A Laredo police officer responded to an assault report near the intersection of Lyon St. and Cedar Ave. The caller said she was in a domestic altercation with her spouse.
The officer met with Neri-Castro and her two children, in which she told police her spouse assaulted her and broke her phone.
During the report filing process, the officer learned the spouse was out of town.
The spouse then told the officer over the phone that he had not seen Neri-Castro or her children for over a month.
She was then arrested on the charge of filing a false report.
