MADISON -- Morgan Geyser has been taken into custody in Illinois as of 10:34 pm, according to the Madison Police Department.
She had been missing since Saturday night, after cutting off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and leaving her group home. She had traveled near Kroncke Drive around 8p.m. Saturday with an adult acquaintance.
She was found at a truck stop in Posen, Illinois. Posen is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) south of Chicago.
Geyser was found with a 42-year-old man who was charged with criminal trespassing and obstructing identification, Posen police confirmed. He has since been released from custody.
Geyser, along with Anissa Weier, stabbed their classmate, Payton Leutner, 19 times in Waukesha in 2014 when they were 12 years old. All in an effort to appease the fictional character Slender Man.
Both were found not guilty by mental defect and committed to psychiatric facilities.
Geyser was originally sentenced to 40 years in a mental health institution before she was granted her conditional release by a Waukesha County judge back in March.
According to the department, the search for her is over.

For STARTERS - SHE'S CRIMINALLY INSANE! But, obviously so is the JUDGE!
This girl is NEVER going to make it on the outside. She's proven she gets, 'Stabby!' Lock her up! Throw away the key! Yeesh!
Background:
“The Slender Man stabbing refers to a 2014 incident in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where two 12-year-old girls, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, stabbed their friend Payton Leutner 19 times, believing it would appease the fictional character Slender Man. Leutner survived the attack, while Geyser and Weier were later found not guilty by reason of mental illness and committed to psychiatric institutions.”
Thanks for posting.
After 14 years of confinement, she had made it to the minimal security of a (unlocked?) group home, only to screw up her own freedom by removing the ankle brace and going AWOL. One step forward turned into 20 steps back.
If she still has these urges to break the law now. she may not be fixable. I’m sure that young woman who was nearly killed by this girl was scared to death until Ms Stabby was somehow rounded up again one day later.
DON’T LET HER LOOSE AGAIN
Why was the dude helping her released? Criminal behavior demands some time in the klink.
So glad she’s been found. Take her back to incarceration and never let her out. She’s very mentally unstable.
Have to hand it to the Madison Police Department. They are pretty sharp.
Whoever that was helping her escape, very likely had plans to use her in the future to do things harmful to others.
It’s already been established that this girl is unbalanced, unsure of who and what she is. Someone given to delusions and paranoia. If influenced by the wrong kind of people. she could very easily be groomed to do something new to please this Mr. Slenderman.
The Docs at the psychiatric hospital cured her by turning her into a tranny.
A very long time behind bars in my book!
Ever again for all of eternity.
Hope they find the Gospel
But don’t want her back on the streets
Her accomplice friend is out too
Thanks. That’s a much better article.
‘Search’ works? Sometimes. ;)

Make the Judge take her in.

They were originally going to put her in a Group Home in my Mom’s town!
Luckily there were enough people to protest that, so they moved her to IL...not that it mattered in the end.
This judge needs to be made famous.
L
Maybe she lied to the guy and he had no idea who she really was and she was just using him to facilitate her escape. Hard to tell. That would explain the initial charge of "obfuscation" if he told the cops she was someone else, not knowing she was lying. The cops would have assumed he was the one lying.
Some context
The players, are as follows in no particular order, Scott Wagner has the least blame in my opinion
-3 therapists who reported she was no longer a threat.
-Group home with rubbish supervision apparently.
-DOJ - how often was it checking her location? If a Huber (Waukesha Co. Jail) inmate cuts off his bracelet, our police know super-fast.
-State- believed the Drs, could’ve pushed back harder on defense though
-Judge Bohren- okayed the conditional release plan of the state.
-Judge Wagner followed the law and recommendations of the parties. If he’d disregarded the State, it would’ve been a slap in the face to a bunch of people like Bohren and the DA’s office.
If my opinion evolves further, I’ll update. I will continue to support a good judge who followed the law on a 12-year case he inherited a few months ago.
