Las Vegas isn’t what it used to be… and we’ve learned that the hard way. We thought we understood how Vegas works — how to spot the tricks, avoid the traps, and still love the chaos. But after years of living in Las Vegas, something shifted. And we couldn’t ignore it anymore. Things that used to feel exciting… now feel off. And one day, we looked around and realized the biggest lie Las Vegas still gets away with — and how easy it is to fall for it.

That’s just humble FR home page.
You could do the same to your FR home page, if you wanted to.
I can only imagine what happens if your 5 minutes late checking out......they probably take possession of you home! Lol!
Tricky one, that guy.
From watching the latest videos and news stories—and from my own experiences at East Coast casinos—I already knew what to expect. That’s why I didn’t bother stopping in Vegas. The word is out on how bad it’s gotten. Same logic applies to Disneyland and Disneyworld: I just drive right past.
Both lean Democrat and push DEI along with other progressive ideas, which for me is reason enough to steer clear.
Note: Even from 20,000 feet above, it’s clear Disney no longer delivers an authentic, family‑oriented experience.
Humblegunner, is that you?

That note was there when Humblegunner was posting daily. Humblegunner humor.
Never go full Disney.
Las Vegas died when the MBA corporate types took over.

Got there in 79, left in 20. Saw the town start coming apart when the corps/mba’s started coming in. Hasn’t stopped yet.
“ So I guess nobody is supposed to win ever?”
That would be the Indian casinos.
Your odds of wining are nil.
Well excuse me. All I did was post a link to a video about Vegas’s downfall.
No different if it had come from a printed source.

Hey DallasBiff - Don’t worry about logi-whatever. People blow up sometimes on here for the silliest reasons. I ignore them.
Sorry to read that he has been banned.
Wow.
I thought a friend of his posted here that Humblegunner had passed away
he is fine found a better life for himself
The note on his link says “This account has been banned or suspended.”
He wrote that himself, and people are still falling for it.
so does mine
When I lived there in 2002 they simply couldn’t build enough $500+ houses. (That was a big house then).
The construction boom was massive, and all the homes were pre-sold. It was an amazing time. Not like now.
One simple trick, MBAs HATE him!
Now though, Vegas seems to extract every nickel that it can though extra fees and high prices for everything, even simple bottles of water. This widely alienates visitors and locals. Even affluent and wealthy people do not like to be treated like pigeons being plucked.
Unfortunately, Vegas is stuck with its current overly exploitative business practices that are driving away visitors. The casino operators, restaurants, and other vendors are over leveraged and have destructively high rents and mortgages. A wave of consolidation, closings, write downs, and even bankruptcies is coming. The financial stress is already trickling down to employees and locals. Vegas may still be Sin City, but it is less fun than it was.
Growing up & living in Montana, we’ve had gambling my entire life. The wife and I went to Vegas December 2024, I spent $40 the entire week we were there on slots, but I didn’t go to gamble.
I’ve experienced Vegas, and I figured out the routine; I won’t go back unless I take my cardboard castle with me or have other plans for off-strip lodging.
It was a neat experience, the shows were phenomenal, and we had some pretty good food away from the busy areas. “Vegas” just isn’t a place that would re-attract me.
I do think it would have been neat to experience in its day when the mob was running the place.
This place is crazy sometimes. I can see why he left if he did do that. Hope he comes back. I miss him calling out the blog pimps.
I am not saying I don’t like this site. There are a lot of billiant and resourceful people. I don’t the fighting and name calling.
As Rodney King once said “Can’t we all just get along?”
For years and years, Las Vegas had a monopoly on Gambling, luxury hotels, topflight restaurants, and things were relatively cheap, the more you had for gambling the better.
