Two people in critical condition, two in serious condition. Reports now say it was a grizzly bear (common in the area). One mother reporting bear spray was used, but this is unconfirmed.

Looks like a very remote location, 240 miles west of Williams Lake and maybe 80 miles from the Pacific Ocean, about halfway between Vancouver and the southernmost part of Alaska.
