Tucker Carlson and The Civil War Inside the Conservative Movement
Youtube ^ | Nov 21 | 1819 Podcast

Posted on 11/21/2025 5:24:33 AM PST by RandFan

...

Carlson pulls no punches: he traces his own journey from a Weekly Standard neoconservative to the leading voice of America First nationalism, recounting the exact moment in Baghdad in 2003 when he realized he’d been “used” to sell a disastrous war. With unflinching honesty, he admits his past mistakes, explains why he now rejects both libertarian economics and neoconservative foreign policy as “false religions,” and declares that any government not putting its own citizens first has no legitimacy.

The conversation then dives into the ongoing civil war inside conservatism—paleocons vs. neocons, Buchanan vs. Buckley 2.0—and why the old gatekeepers are finally losing control thanks to Elon Musk’s X. Carlson defends “America First” against decades of deliberate slander, dismantles the weaponized charge of antisemitism used to silence dissent, and warns that unchecked demographic replacement and anti-white discrimination are destroying the country his children will inherit.

From the collapse of Kevin Roberts at Heritage to the rise of Nick Fuentes among a generation of angry young men, Carlson and Dawson confront the uncomfortable truths the establishment refuses to face: the American people have been lied to, sold out, and humiliated—and they’ve finally had enough.

A raw, unfiltered, and deeply Christian case for putting America—and Americans—first. If you care about the future of this nation, this is the one episode you cannot miss

Tucker is for more clicks, views, fame. This leads to more $$$ coming in. Candace Owens the same. Though more crazed, thrilled, excited by the millions rolling in.

Coming from one of the biggest Israel-Firsters on Free Republic.

Remember when you waved your Israeli flag at my face in glee the day we bombed Iran? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

My only quibble with your otherwise excellent post is the notion that the shift is “leftward”.

The political spectrum is a little more complex than that.

I would say that young people don’t like the middle that defends the status quo—that does not make them “left” or “right”. They want radical change in some direction—and will support candidates that offer it to them.

The big institutions have failed them—nothing left to save.

They will not be intimidated by name calling or other attempts by their elders to frame the debate or gatekeep or curate.

is the notion that the shift is “leftward”.
//////
I’m quoting Rassmussen on this.

He’s looking at the entire electorate. What he’s seeing is the normalization of “socialism” among younger people — especially in the Democrat Party.

Democrat numbers are increased every year by the educational system that normalizes socialism. again the genius of the communists in the educational system is to teach moral spiritual and practical incompetence —that is, to set the kiddies up for failure and then give them a built in cause and solution for their failure. The reason for their failure is capitalism and the solution for their failure is socialism.

Among young Republicans, there is something different. They want order brought back to the country. To them, Trump is not doing enough fast enough.

Left and right are ok with AI running government.

Both left and right cannot afford housing. The median age for first home buyers is now 40. That’s up 12 years since about 1990. Affordability is most pronounced in blue states.

Women—especially liberal women are a special case. They voted overwhelmingly for Mandami in NYC. That city is stacked high with single women in their 30’s and 40’s who are prosperous and alone. Corporations love them. They are the real worker bees of that city—as they are in most big cities. And they hate their lives. They want to burn it all down. Hence the Mandami vote. wtf? They were schooled to think that it was ok to slut around in their 20’s while they advanced their careers. No one told them that they were at their most desirable before the age of 25. No one told them that their eggs were literally at their brightest and most fertile before the age of 25. That after 25, the quality of their eggs and their fertility declined. No one told them that after age 30 their chances of getting married, settling down and having a family diminished not to nothing—but significantly.

Of course the social sciences and liberal arts degrees in colleges produce young men who are not very good mates for women.

Good comments on women.

Young women (in general) have become an enemy of civilization.

There is not going to be a “nice” way to fix this.

Young men are getting cornered—they will have to rule with an iron hand or submit as slaves. The middle ground is rapidly disappearing.

i used to follow Tucker - until he went off the reservation. his head in the sand on dealing w/Iranian nuclear program was not visionary - and obviously wrong. his hate for Christian Zionists is worrisome and indicative of something very dark - and so much more. what i read of his recent stances makes me know i have better things to do with my time than listening to him. on the other hand
i do not want to see the Right take the antisemitic bigoted
road the Left took and is terminally infected by. those that push it should be read out of the movement - as we did the likes of David Duke.

“The under 40 republicans are not really conservative.”

Well, that’s a shame. You can’t throw out the periodic table and make up your own chemistry and succeed. In the same way, you can’t just throw out our institutions, start over, and succeed.

There are an infinite number of ways to fail. Not so many ways to succeed. You can selectively build on the past. Starting over from scratch is always a recipe for disaster.

I lay 100% of the problem with the univerisities.

For many generations americans were taught how to succeed. That’s not the case now.

The main priority of public schools the university system is the maintenance and prosperity of the people who live and work there. Students are feedstock.

I like listening to Tucker. However, I have yet to see him throw the spotlight on Islam.

There is a reason for Muslim terrorism, and it’s not Israel. Muslims are taking over cities in Britain and starting to do so in the US. They are raping women and boys in Europe. What is the state of women’s rights in majority Muslim states? How are infidels treated? What is the penalty for apostasy?

It seems that Tucker does not see the 800lb Gorilla in the room. Tucker’s problem is not limited to himself. There is a left-Muslim alliance. Some Jews complain of having been historically treated better by Muslims than by Christians. I suspect that is a distorted view of the past. Even if true, what of the present?

“i used to follow Tucker - until he went off the reservation.”

Is that appropriate language for someone who is supposed to follow facts, logic?

“his head in the sand on dealing w/Iranian nuclear program was not visionary - and obviously wrong.”

He opposed it because he thought it would lead to a war out of control. Is that a sinister reason?

“...his hate for Christian Zionists is worrisome and indicative of something very dark”

He did apologize for that; I would assume he meant the phrasing of his thoughts in that manner, but not the underlying Christian dogma. Christian Zionism does not occur in the writings of the Apostle Paul.

David Duke was definitely not read out of the Right; he was never a member. He did run for governor of Louisiana and lost. During his campaign, I noticed he utilized the writings of Thomas Sowell quite frequently. Other than that, all he served was as another hoax the media tried to hang on Trump’s neck.

“Antisemite” has become our version of “racist” or “fascist”.
It is used so often it has lost any meaning but, ‘Someone or something,I don’t like’, “Where’s that antisemitic waiter with our food. I’m famished!”

not if you’re a Jew having to pay for armed security at your place of worship, or having to wonder if it’s safe to wear a kippah/mount a mezuzah, or wondering if pro-Israel lectures are safe to attend, or thinking hard where to send your college-age child to college where Jewish identity will not put child in danger. antisemitism is real, it masks a sick society and diminishing it does not become one.

ooh - get better news sources. Tucker misjudged Trump re Iran- admit it. we are not entangled and we accomplished an important goal for the safety of the world quickly and without event. re Duke Reagan - W - and RNC denounced him and often supported his opponents. re Paul,he was on a religious mission, not a political one and the Jews did have Judea although ruled by Rome. the Jews were not a people of the diaspora as was their fate after destruction of Temple in 70 CE and Bar Kochba. Paul died about 67 CE. toodles.
