Epstein files move closer to seeing light of day

President Trump has said he will sign the legislation after reversing his position on whether the documents should be released. But some critics and legal experts question whether that will be the end of the matter.

The House passed the bill by a vote of 427-1, with GOP Rep. Clay Higgins (La.) the only dissenter. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) backed the bill despite his opposition to the discharge petition that forced the vote.

The Senate later passed it by unanimous consent, sending it to Trump for a signature. A White House official reiterated to The Hill earlier Tuesday that the bill would be signed “whenever it gets to the White House.”

A group of Epstein survivors gathered with lawmakers leading the push for the files’ release for a press conference at the Capitol ahead of the vote.

Some of the women specifically went after Trump, who spent months calling the effort a “hoax” until flipping to be in favor of the release Sunday.

SPOT ON TRUTH...We have been led down the garden path, this has been NOTHING but a big distraction to see if someone on the Right would panic, it's a bull horn call to the Liberal masses. A sham.

Epstein, his activities, his friends etc. were well known to the Liberals for the 12 years they had the WH. So why does evidence matter so much to them NOW (and why so recklessly focus on it no matter the inevitable cost to themselves, in the process) ??

More to the point, why have 'Republicans' chosen to permit the media and the DNC force this issue NOW ????

Many of these 'Republicans' owe their offices and very futures to Trump's assistance. How is it that they cannot see they are being played and will be compromised not matter how much they comply with the requests for this long-held (and equally long-ignored) 'evidence'??

Why don’t you understand that the hoax is the Democrats making Epstein all about Trump?>>> Trump called it a hoax. Epstein had kids he trafficked to adults per his indictment. Who were the fellow traffickers? The Dems will always say it is Trump. It’s not and I usually don’t pay any attention to them. Covering it up doesn’t help him.
