As many as 25 areas across the UK could be hit by power cuts due to a 15-hour snowstorm coming today (Tuesday, November 18). Households are being warned of potential disruption from an Arctic blast, affecting travel and power supplies in various parts of Scotland, while a separate ice warning has been issued for the north of England.
The Met Office has issued a 15-hour yellow weather warning for snow, starting at 3am on Tuesday, November 18 and continuing through to 6pm, impacting seven areas in Scotland.
Meanwhile, in England, a yellow weather warning for ice could also bring snow and 'subzero' temperatures to parts of Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland, as well as Yorkshire, starting at 5am on Tuesday and lasting until midday, affecting another 18 areas.
The Met Office is warning of potential disruption to power supplies due to snow, urging households in affected areas to prepare. For its snow warning in Scotland, it said: "A period of snow on Tuesday could bring some disruption to transport and infrastructure across higher parts of Scotland.
"An area of rain will reach the west of Scotland early on Tuesday, before pushing erratically south and east through the morning, easing and clearing into the afternoon. Whilst there is some uncertainty as to the exact track and extent, a period of snow is likely over high ground, with accumulations of 2-5 cm possible above about 150 m elevation, and as much as 5-10 cm above 400 m.", reports the Express.

Time will tell.
How does England plan to stay warm?
Burning Korans would be a good idea for starters.
Maybe they should research how it was done in the fifties and sixties - we had snow and storms back then too...
Collecting hot air produced by warmist alarmists screaming...in the snow
Sure! I thought the UK went all global warming stupid and refused alternative methods of warming.
"Keep in mind, the news media are not independent; they are a sort of bulletin board and public relations firm for the ruling class-the people who run things. Those who decide what news you will or will not hear are paid by, and tolerated purely at the whim of, those who hold economic power. If the parent corporation doesn't want you to know something, it won't be on the news. Period. Or, at the very least, it will be slanted to suit them, and then rarely followed up."

Sounds like solar panels to be covered in snow, thus energy loss. Idiots

If only England had coal.
The southernmost point of England (Land’s End) is about 70 miles north the the US-Canada border at the 49th Parallel. So Land’s End is as far north as Upsala, Ontario. London is a little further north than Calgary, Alberta. When you live that far north, you think you’d have sense enough to wish for some warmer weather.
It sounds bigger in centimeters.
Siberians laugh...
Global warming comes at you fast.
Global warming alert!
From the article: Households preparing for potential power outages have been advised to purchase torches and candles, along with batteries, and to charge mobile devices as well as any portable charging banks to ensure adequate preparation.
>>> Along with the torches and candles i recommend pitchforks and then move on to Keir Starmer’s 11 downing St. for a chat.
