When I was a boy there were a bunch of canneries of tomato products in the town where I lived. I’d rather live 24/7 in a Hershey’s factory than ever again smell tomatoes being processed at scale. It’s quite unpleasant
When I was a teenager I did some construction laborer work at a plant that used my dad’s company routinely. Every time I had to leave my clothes in the garage. It had one of the most intense smells you can imagine.
Wright’s Liquid Smoke. The actual plant they distilled the smoke into liquid. Took two shower’s each night but it stayed in your sinus cavities.
I grew up in the 50’s. Hershey Bars (bigger than the ones they sell today) were 5 cents. I’m more of a milk chocolate person. I always liked Nestle’s Crunch Bars, and I liked their milk chocolate bars, which they don’t make anymore. They only make them in miniature form, mixing them in with their other bagged miniature bars. I don’t like nuts or peanut butter and chocolate together, although I like nuts and peanut butter separately. These days I buy Whoppers (malted milk balls), Nestle’s Crunch bars and Ghiradelli milk chocolate and salted caramel squares.
The House Choice here!!!

"You may eat the chocolate now."
Tony Chocolony is awesome, but at $6-7 a bar where we live. It’s not an everyday thing.
I eat pecans and “bunch of crunch” together all the time.
It’s the best.
I don't think this is unreasonable.
The best chocolate bar is the one your eating at the time.
I agree. There is not a bad one. At least none that I’ve found.
I’ve been hearing for decades now that dark chocolate is actually good for you.
WHICH bar? ... pic shows milk chocolate, which is crap, no matter who makes it ...
I gotta agree with Heath Bar.
Chocolove is uniformly delicious, reasonably priced, readily available in many ubiquitous retail chains, and each bar lists the percentage of chocolate in the bar:
It’s the best. I dread Halloween for triggering my addictions: Heaths and Reese’s.
Yep, The Golden Almound Bar. Not in stores.
Now that I need to be gluten free. I have to be very suspicious about my chocolate...and every thing else.
I have been trying to find the boxed assorted chocolates my grandmother used to have during g the holidays. I would like to give them as gifts thiS year. They were called CONTINENTALS CHOCOLATE S. They were sold in fine department stores, the ones that had specialty food treats. They were delicious.
Anyone remember them?
I got one for my birthday and ended up throwing the last third away. Tasteless to me. And I like Easter bunnies! As well as Lindt, milka, nestle chips, and high end chocolatiers. Ghirardelli. See’s. Etc.
( above reference the Tony’s)
Hersheys have a barf aftertaste to me, too. I won’t seek it out.
