True the covenant is broken but she speaks of it as a social covenant only. The truth is its a spiritual God covenant we’ve broken, in which chaos only follows. Returning to God’s plan is the only way out of this mess.

Actually with men, don’t the chances for having a child with Down’s Syndrome go up after age 40?

Dating apps, increase mobility, lead to “Lots of Fish In the Sea” syndrome. The feeling that if your partner isn’t perfect, it’s easy to move onto the next one.

In our grandparents’ world, you basically had until you finished High School to find a mate, or the pickings would get real thin.

At first, men saw this as a good deal. They were freed from the expectation of lifelong responsibility and enjoyed unprecedented access to sex. The idea of intimacy after a few dates became standard. Women, unchaperoned and unprotected, found themselves pressured to do what their grandmothers never had to justify. There had always been premarital sex, but now it was assumed rather than transgressive.

Finally, an article that acknowledges how much the male sex drive has steered these developments, and doesn't just blame it all on "feminism."

There ARE good women out there.
It just takes time to find them.
Took me 50 years.

Breach-of-promise laws reinforced the moral order. A man who courted, seduced, and abandoned a woman could be sued, not because her feelings were hurt but because her prospects were damaged. Law turned moral obligation into accountability. This was codified into law, which was only eliminated in the West between 1935 and 1970.

As a tangent, this is a law I would like to see reinstated along with at least two others that were done away with in our "progressive" (regressive) era.

The first is double-liability for bank shareholders. It used to be that bank owners were responsible, from their own money, to reimburse depositors in full, if their banks went bust. That made banks very conservative in their investment and lending.

The second is reverse-takings or inverse condemnation laws under eminent domain, whereby local government could be sued if they failed to act to protect private property. For example, government could be sued for not acting responsibly and allowing rioters to burn (or "take") one's private property. The same would apply for losses incurred by government allowing homeless encampments which hurt one's business, etc... Such laws were once very common.

Leftists and statists got rid of such laws to give government and its cronies extended power over common people.

After ten years together, he ended the relationship without fulfilling his promises of marriage and children.

I’ve heard that the chances of a man marrying a woman goes down significantly if they’ve been going together for over 2 years.

She should have figured it out by the 3rd year,

Free sex? Sex without consequences?

Hah!

Sexual intercourse is possibly the most consequential act one man and one woman can do together. Demeaning it, reducing it to mindless recreation, is one of the greatest lies of the devil. Or of leftism ... which is to say the same thing.

The incel movement, and its Japanese counterpart hikikomori, is only the visible symptom: millions of men who feel unwanted, unnecessary, and angry about it.

Instead of getting angry, why not better themselves, learn a trade, ditch the video games, Take a shower, brush their teeth and shave the neck beard?

Seemed to begin during the 60’s, then the “sexual” revolution of the 70’s and then the assumed and somewhat praised infidelity of the 80’s STD prevalence, death and misery couldn’t stop it.
Now, children and grandchildren raised under that ethos are trying to navigate their impulses without any social responsibility contract. Total mess. Influx of “baby daddies”, women demanding their lovers remain with them, polyamory, sex parties, men forcing abortions, even killing resistant pregnant girlfriends....
Thanks to Hugh Hefner, and well, Satan.

I can attest to the biological part. I had always had more than my fair share of “female problems” when I was very young, but perimenopause started at age 33. I had not had much success in my relationships at that point, so I realized I likely wouldn’t be having kids, since I wasn’t going to rush into my next codependent, alcoholic/cannabis-abuser relationship just so I could squirt out some puppies and chase him for assistance until forever.

Find that man and have those kids young, ladies. Your future isn’t guaranteed and that fabulous corporate job will just turn into another abusive relationship.

Methinks the author's profound truths expose the LIES of LIEberal Theology re: men and women precisely and very succinctly!

Indeed:the author has exceptional understanding.

One part esp.:

The collapse didn’t start in courtrooms or legislatures. It began in the bedroom. Late-nineteenth-century “free love” advocates preached sexual expression without consequence. They were helped later by the rise of scientific contraception and Planned Parenthood, which promised that sex could finally be separated from its biological consequence, procreation. For centuries, sex had driven marriage. It created life and therefore demanded protection for both woman and child. Reliable birth control and legal abortion made that framework seem unnecessary. The biological covenant could be bypassed. Sex became recreation instead of creation.

And the lack of children fostered spoiled. lazy, bored, purposeless ones.

“Women gained autonomy but lost security. Men gained access but lost responsibility. The ancient balance was gone.”

Excellent article.

I was looking for something like this when I tried to explain the breakdown of morals and responsibility to a young feminist, complaining that her “partner” was going to start helping with the dishes more.

As if that was the only problem.

Sadly, I see a lot of unhappy in the UK, moreso than here. I think their decline has been happening longer plus their nanny state is much more entrenched.

Women insisted that they wanted to work. So that led to more breakdowns of marriages, more multiple partners, illegitimate births, and ultimately ending up alone. Often in poverty. I don’t see an upside at all.

Of course, the children suffer the most. How are they even to learn what a healthy relationship is?

And the men lost their motivation. Without being valued as a protector and provider, they just meander through the bars, looking for one partner after another. And they don’t have to even pursue them, it’s just given.

So if the poor guy doesn’t feel like he wants to do the dishes - his masculinity has been taken away long before the housework request, and he doesn’t even realize it.
