Like Tide Pod and other lethal “challenges”?

We live in an age where “How stupid are you?” seems to be a gauntlet thrown down.

So much stupid.
So few ball bats.

😑

Holy lardbucket.

Are those her boobies? Or a couple of grossly misshapen fat rolls?

Seriously, WTF?? Good lord that's gross.

Texas no longer has this law, but when it still did there was a case in my small Hill Country town.

An interior designer moved here, and had an affair with a local business owner. The Designer’s husband sued and won. Business Owner lost his half of the business, his wife divorced him, and moved to the Coast.

The Designer and her husband moved to San Antonio. She again had an affair, and her husband sued for alienation of affection. I think they lost the case when it came to light that before moving to my small town the couple had lived in New Braunfels where the Designer had an affair, husband sued for alienation of affection, and won.

Basically, the Design business was just a front for their real source of income, Alienation of Affection lawsuits.

Nor has, at least in my case, any ad ever tagged onto the end of - or that VERY annoyingly - interrupts a YouTube video I am watching. I click “Skip” within milliseconds of it popping up an make it a point to totally ignore whatever the ad is for, or mentally blacklisting the company as one I will NEVER do business with. (I’m talking you, Liberty Mutual and Doug!)

I realize they sell ads to pay for the free service, but interrupting a video is the wrong way to do it. I’m halfway convinced that YouTube does this purely to piss you off enough that you pay for a subscription to make it stop.

Every state should allow this. It is criminal to destroy a marriage. Both the cheating spouse and the affair partner should be able to be sued for damages.

In Japan and Taiwan it is criminal as well.

There is no fault divorce today, so there is consequence of adultery in divorce, in fact, it seems to be an advantage.

"Alienation of affection" only exists in a few states, but it is against the person who, uh, led one's spouse away.

Talk about discouraging affairs; that will do it.

,,, and it would mean lesser demand for housing. As soon as there's a breakdown, another house is needed for the partner vacating the family home. There's lots of consequentials - depression, lower work performance, unsettling times for their kids - all sorts of factors to take into account for a lawsuit.
