I have read countless posts and other items over the last 5 years or so in which public searches of crime have ‘creative’ interpretations of origin and race, ‘amending’ hardened-looking foreigners and others to ‘white.’

Bad data, bad research. All you have to do to win an award is not actually look at the data.
