I saw them at the Pepsi Center in 2018. I was on the floor, center stage. I think it was row 8. A VERY good show.
In Denver that is.
‘Showdown’ is one of my faves. But every time I watch the video, I want to hog tie that guy and shave him down, LOL!

Cr@ppy video quality but audio is OK. Love the violins and bass...
*Insert Diana Dancing Video Here*
I saw them at Madison Square Garden in 1978- i want to say a week or two after i saw Yes...i was not impressed at all...
He’s so great. Underrated. Great singer. Great friend of the late George Harrison
One of the best live recordings on YouTube.
Not the same without the late Kelly Groucutt. Their voices were amazing together.
I dated a Jewish chick for a year (I’m not Jewish)....we got along great- whenever Evil Woman came on the radio i would change the lyrics and sing “Heeebrew Woman.....Heeeebrew Woman”...
She got a kick out of it...
IMHO “Face The Music” is their best album. “Fire On High”, “Nightrider”, “Poker”, “One Summer Dream”, all of those should have been been big hits.
With Rosie Langley and Amy Langley who were class mates with Jeff's daughter in music school. Rosie is on Violin up front in this song. Amy is in back in the string section of the orchestra. I was up front and after the song was over I heard Amy say to Jeff "Ha, no mistakes" as she walked to the back of the stage. Jeff just smiled and nodded.
I have this theory that ELO’s music only appeals to those with genius IQs. :)
I agree.
That and my favorite band, XTC.
At one point it came out if you played their records in reverse they had recorded a message to Satan. Not sure if true and not sure why, but if so, that was troubling.
Not true.
Though they did do some intentional backward stuff, like on the opening of Fire On High.
Thanks. That is good to know.
But whoever plays records in reverse? I am told that ruins the record.
I heard that if you play it in reverse, you hear Paul saying “Rumours of my death are greatly exaggerated.”
Also not true
I’ve heard if you play a country record backwards, you get you wife back, your truck back, and your dog back.
I’ve always loved ELO, one of my favorite bands.
