SEBASTIAN, Fla. — A Sebastian man with an extensive criminal history was taken into custody this week in Indian River County after a standoff that lasted several hours, deputies said.
According to a post on the Indian River County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, deputies received an alert from license plate readers about a stolen Ford F-350 heading westbound near Louisiana Avenue on County Road 512.
Rodgers was seen unloading wood at the home, but fled inside after seeing law enforcement.
Authorities said Rodgers hid in the attic of the home for several hours before video showed him falling through the ceiling into the arms of SWAT members.

Thank you very much and God bless you,

I guess he had to deliver some wood so he stole a truck.
Lesson learned. Only walk on the rafters.
Obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Any self respecting homeowner knows you at least tack in 2x4s to walk on in the attic.
The judge gave him only a $20000 bond. This means he can get out for only a mere $2000. And he has an extensive criminal history.
I hope he his set free on bond and burglarizes the judges house. /spit
If he has 2 grand, or can find a bail bondsman to cover it......with his criminal history that may be a problem.

Neck Tattoo . I see that a license plate reader helped lead to his downfall.
“his downfall”

ISWYDT!
Lesson learned; don't let this idiot in your house.
The owners of this house now have a hole in their ceiling because they gave this fool access to their home to get some firewood.
Did they know him before the wood transaction we don't know.
But, it pays to buy from people you trust.
$20,000 bond?
Why so low?
I heard about this, but I didn’t realize it occurred in the county I live in.
YOU DO NOT BUY LUMBER AT HOME DEPOT & CALL IT FIREWOOD
