You are at least partly right but so am I sadly. I am not sure if it is because parents don't keep their kids with them while they do things or what but a good number of young people seem to be mostly clueless about the basics of life.

The other day I had to explain to a young home owner what a sacrifice rod was in a hot water heater. This is not plumbing. This is very basic home maintenance. Like cleaning out the gutters. Thankfully they did know about that one.
