New York City Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani seemed to have an awkward reaction when presented with the news of ex-Vice President Dick Cheney's death.
Zohran simply asked, "When did that happen?" and then nodded in response before returning to campaigning after learning Cheney died this morning.
The Democrat kicked off his busy Election Day morning schedule by voting with his wife, Rama Duwaji, at a local school. He held a brief news conference outside afterward, wearing an “I Voted” sticker on the left lapel of his dark gray suit jacket. He then embarked on several TV and radio appearances to round out the day.
One user laughed, "his wife making the 'huh! that's neat. anyways,' face," pointing out that Mamdani's spouse, Duwaji, reacted by making a face and nodding. Another wrote, "if 'Damn, thats crazy' was a person," in response to the response. Another also pointed out, "lol so basically no reaction."

The clip of Mamdani learning the news while waiting to cast his vote:
Surprised he didn’t say “Who?”.
Dick Cheney died while he was voting? Who wrote this headline?
They couldn’t care less. Look how quickly that wife of his went back to what she was focusing on. And he gave the bare minimum of concern on his face.
Just some old white dude to them, whatever.
He became citizen in 2018.
Ten years after Cheney got out of office.
So he may not even remember him.

A good reason not to vote.
I’m as anti-Mamdani as anyone, but I watched the video... and there’s no there there. If Mamdani had taken potshots at Dick Cheney, that would have been a story. If Mamdani had asked, “Who’s Dick Cheney?,” that would have been a story. But “Oh, when did that happen?” was a neutral, innocuous response. I can’t knock Mamdani for not being devastated by the loss of Dick Cheney... when I myself wasn’t exactly devastated by the loss of the Kamala-endorsing bastard.
About Dick? I could not care less either, and I'm to the right of Joe McCarthy.
“Who?”
Would more likely have been FJB’s response. But then again, that was his response when someone brought up Kamala’s name . . .
Yeah it wasn’t a tense reaction in the least. Respectful and understandably distracted because be was casting a ballot.
Cheney died on election day?
His last words were “Donald Rumsfeld still survives,” but Rumsfeld had already passed away ... four years ago ...
Raising the question.....does his vote still count?
I’m sorry, but I missed ANYONE mourning him.
Media going to report everytime ZM takes a shit? Tell us it doesn’t stink?
They will cover him as they did Obama? Sun halos and shadow photos that show crowns on his head?
Punctuation is everybody’s friend.
I watched the video and my thought was, “well, that was a waste of time” as is the article.
Chances are Mamdani didn’t know who Cheney was and had to ask an aide to fill him in.
They couldn’t care less.
And, honestly, neither do I, much.
