I’m a low-end landlord. Several times, I’ve had to deal with drugged-up tenants that I now must evict. When you’re dealing with people who are stressed, high, low IQ and not dealing with reality, it’s scary. I go armed and I take a witness because you have no idea how someone in that condition is going to respond. From their perspective, “this guy is throwing me out. If I just kill him and leave the body in the back bedroom, with the twenty-five bags of rotting garbage, I’ll be fine.” (BTW, the twenty-five bags of rotting garbage...that happened. They had trash service. I asked why they didn’t just put it by the curb and they said, “We forgot.”)
