There’s any legal business, in which one must become an expert to maximize sales, price and value
And now for the same business, there’s a shadow criminal industry, where one also must become an expert to maximize sales, price and value.
This guy probably specialized in knowing the market and channels for stolen Legos
Lego my Lego!...................
The plural of Lego is Lego. True. Legos is always incorrect.
I work remotely. I converse and otherwise deal with a bunch of young associates on the other end of the internet in a number of locations around the country. One young fellow was mentioning that since he didn’t get it for Christmas, he was going to go ahead and buy a Legos Star Wars spaceship of some kind online for around $900. It’ is on his (ahem) “bucket list”. Nice people but sometimes I feel like I am working with the cast of The Big Bang Theory...
Build a prison out of them.

I both build them and resell them. If you are not familiar with them, you will not realize their resale value. They are better than stock, they always go up in value when that particular model sells out. Go on youtube, you will see people who will tell you which models to invest in for maximum profit. It is not a joke.
Thsi is an extreme example but you can check it out on ebay. A lego model of the millenium falcon (from star wars) came out in 2005 and sold for $500. (this model built will cover a small dining room table.) That same model, today, sealed in the original box, sells in the range of $10,000.
