MERCED, Calif. (FOX26) — Wendy, a mischievous foster cat, was caught on her owner's kitchen cam adding her own "spice" to the family dinner.

The owner says she was out feeding the dogs, when Wendy snuck into the kitchen and decided to contribute her own meat to the soup pot.

Her mom only discovered the feline's culinary surprise after reviewing the footage when she found Wendy sitting on the floor, continuously crying and staring at the pot.

We have one that hates snakes. She was bitten by a small copperhead when sh was little. Now she kills all she sees. I hope she steers clear of any cotton mouth if there are any at the pond. I kill all I see. She kills them and sits them so the other cats can’t share

> My brothers cat brought in a copperhead. No lie.

One day the matriarch of our cat family killed 10 rattlesnakes on our property and lined them up for inspection - at the front door!

She was forever bringing mice and birds for us, as if we were slow kittens who couldn’t hunt for ourselves.

My brother’s cat surprised my greyhound and chased her, but later the cat presented the dog with a live bird and they decided to be friends.

You are part of their pack, they share what they catch with the pack.

Common “Northern Water Snakes” are harmless, but easily mistaken for Cottonmouths. Water Snakes swim totally submerged, while a Cottonmouth swims with its head exposed.

I learned of this when a Northern Water Snake swam between my legs!
