MTG Trashes Republicans Once Again, Claims Critics Are Sexist

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) once again trashed Republicans as part of her ongoing tour on left-wing media circuits, this time attacking Republicans and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) over costs associated with the Obama-era Affordable Care Act (ACA). The congresswoman later claimed that critics of her recent shift are sexist.

Extension of ACA credits — which are set to expire at the end of the year under the term’s of the Democrat-passed Inflation Reduction Act in 2021 — have become a central point of the Democratic Party’s narrative on the ongoing government shutdown. Senate Democrats have voted against a House-passed temporary funding measure known as a continuing resolution (CR) more than a dozen times, resulting in what projects to be the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

Republicans, as well an increasing number of business and labor leaders, have called on Democrats to pass the clean CR in order to end the shutdown in order negotiate on ACA credits for the fiscal year 2026 budget reconciliation.

During an appearance on “Real Time With Bill Maher,” Rep. Greene endorsed much of the Democratic Party’s talking points on the shutdown dispute. “I mean, I would love to know what the Republicans really want to do about health care, which is the premiums are going to go up tomorrow,” Maher said, to which Greene agreed.

“Me too. I’m waiting for the plan. I haven’t seen it yet. That’s been a lot of my angst. So a lot of the things I say are against my own party, but they’re mainly my frustrations in Congress. I believe that Congress should be solving a lot of these problems. However, Congress is not solving these problems. And I have Republican leadership,” she said.

“You know, looking at Obamacare, it was passed in 2010. It went into place in 2014, and premiums have skyrocketed ever since. It was good for some that couldn’t afford health insurance or couldn’t get health insurance. But for the middle class, small business owners, people that had to buy their own insurance, it has crushed them. And so I’ve been demanding to know.”

The congresswoman then stated that healthcare costs have skyrocketed due to the ACA before circling back to blaming the current crisis on Republicans. “Here’s why I’m angry. The Democrats passed Obamacare, but yet the Republicans have never done anything to correct the problems that exist with it. And I blame my own party. That’s absolutely wrong. And I don’t think it’s an easy thing to fix. However, it’s something that we should have a plan for. And Mike Johnson, for a month now, cannot give me a single positive policy idea, and I’m angry about that,” she said.

The latest segment comes ahead of Greene’s planned appearance on “The View” this coming Tuesday and follows in line with a recent trend of attacking the Republican Party and accusing the Trump Administration of failing to put Americans first.

While speaking with comedian Tim Dillon, Greene suggested that the president’s tariff policy is aimed at enriching “crypto donors.”

“And I’m talking to major manufacturing companies that are-, they’re saying we support the president, we support what he’s trying-, his long-term goal. but we’re having problems with these tariffs. And now we’re have problems, we can’t get supplies from this country, and we can’t get supplies for this country. And there’s-, there’s problems,” the congresswoman said.

“But has the, has-, have regular people’s bank accounts been, been affected? Has the stress come off? No, that has not happened yet and that needs to be the major focus,” she added. “It shouldn’t be about helping your crypto donors, or your AI donors, or welcoming in these people that hated you and spent money to try to beat you, but all of a sudden are excited to come out to the to the new Rose Garden patio. That shouldn’t be the focus.”

In a social media post Thursday, Greene suggested that critics upset with her rhetoric are sexist and part of an organized campaign.

“There are pathetic Republican men (mostly paid social media influencers) attacking me for going on Bill Maher’s show and The View,” the congresswoman posted on X. She then stated that she has worked to be America First throughout her political career, linking to a Conservative Review scorecard that gives her a 100% “liberty score.”

“Sorry I’m not sorry I don’t obey Republican men’s demands that I, as a woman, don’t remain seen but not heard,” she added.

Why are taxpayers propping up “Affordable Care”? Like the general amnesty they promised Reagan in ‘86 would work, they told us OC would support itself.
Americans still hated OC but rats rammed it through on Christmas Eve, 2010.
Let it die!
No Medicaid for criminaliens!

Another possibility is to have the Pelosi formula subsidies paid to the insurance company and not directed applied to individual policies.

The insurance company could then apply the subsidy money according to the financial statements of the insureds, allowing for more accurate subsidy application.

Mr. Poor might be allocated a $300/month subsidy by the Pelosi formula, but the insurance company might only allocate him $250/month (because he has below average housing expenses), allocating the $50/month difference to other exchange policy holders.

The next Liz Cheney.

Yup. Angling for a seat at the table as the "conservative" at NPR or MSNBC.

“No Medicaid for criminaliens!”

The main criminalien source is via the EMTALA.

From my plan:

HOSPITAL EMTALA COST ASSISTANCE

I would allow hospitals collect up to $1,000 per incident of EMTALA service from employers, with payment not in excess of $50 per week per employee concerned being due to any and all EMTALA providers and not for more than 100 weeks after service. Such payments on behalf of an employee would be considered to be a debt of the employee to the employer. Employers could collect back from employees and ex-employees (and require EMTALA incident employees to participate in an employer plan).

My Suggested EMTALA Reform:

To get care under the EMTALA for yourself (or custodial child), the hospital might require you to
1. pay $100 in cash or by financial organization card accepted at the emergency care facility,
2. present for recording a valid coverage card and appropriate matching ID if and as required to use the coverage card,
3. hand over your valid SNAP card and present a matching valid domestic governmental picture ID,
4. hand over your valid domestic driver’s license,
5. hand over your valid US passport,
6. hand over your operable Apple or Samsung cellphone model listed by a current regulation issued by a Secretary of HHS, or
7. hand over a valid domestic governmental picture ID of yours and
a matching financial institution statement less than 70 days old showing a domestic governmental or employer direct deposit of at least $150.

States might be allowed to authorize emergency care facilities to contemporaneously debit SNAP cards for EMTALA incidents.

Items handed over may be retained by the emergency care facility until retrieved within one month by the responsible party by paying $100, or more, for the care, plus a retrieval fee not exceeding $50 in a manner the facility accepts. Items not timely retrieved may be disposed of in a legally allowable manner.

I wouldn’t mind the GOP get busy doing something. Anything other than vacation. They better start focusing on matters here, rather than other countries matters. If they actually did that, they would have fewer hours to make TV and podcast appearances.

Biden did a lot of damage. Time is a wastin’.

Is that so much to ask?

She isn't wrong about the GOP doing nothing to lessen the damage being done by the ACA (and frankly, it should be done away with entirely). In fact, the GOP doing nothing appears to be the de facto reason this country is in the mess it is in right now. Trump is trying to fix things, but how much support has he gotten from the GOP? Not nearly enough. The Democrats are creating most of the messes, but it isn't like there isn't an opposition party to fight this stupidity. Yet, here we are because that opposition party won't oppose.

She is using the same “identity label” dodge as many “black female” figures use, when they suggest criticism of them stems only from racism - because they are a “black” woman.

So Marjorie Taylor Green wants to play the “sexist” identity card, claiming her critics are just sexist and nothing else.

She is losing legitimacy.

She needs to step back and just defend her positions, if she can and/or criticize the positions of those who criticize her. If she continues to debase the issue with identity labels, she loses.

Satan is stealing souls, I think. Too many staunch conservatives have gone off the deep end recently; it just doesn’t make sense.
