'It's going to sound like sour grapes and I don't really give a s*** but I think the better team did not win this series... you just feel like the baseball Gods got it wrong this time.'
He added: 'I think the Blue Jays are the better team and I feel like they played baseball a certain way that was infectious, that grabbed the attention of the fans. 'And it's disheartening to see that the better team did not win. That's not to take anything away from the Dodgers but the Blue Jays did so many things right.'

It was very good baseball. I’ve never played baseball I’m a girl. Softball of course.
It looked like good baseball to me. All the way to the Toronto manager going out to the field with both emptied dugouts damage-controlling after two consecutive pitched hits to the batter.
I’m a Dodger fan and agree. Toronto was the better team, such respect for those guys. My Dodgers got every break and yet Toronto kept coming. Great manager. Us Dodger fans know Roberts is not a great manager.
Mabey don’t leave so many men on base.

Ah shaddup.... I think that was the best World Series ever. In my opinion, it would have been great to see the Jays win it for no other reason that it’s fun to watch a team win that didn’t have near the payroll. Beyond that, there were plenty of things to talk and argue about for years but in the end, it was simply a spectacular Series. I might even have to start watching baseball regularly again....
The Blue Jays beat the Blue Jays.
In 1966 my Steelers SEASON TICKETS for seven games was THREE DOLLARS PER GAME OR $21 BUCKS.
The Steelers played that year in old Pitt Stadium, with aluminum benches, no back support and they were end zone seats...but seats on the 50 yard line were only $ 5.00 per game.
Today, for $21 you might get a small beer.
Until Chico took a line drive to his berries...
It was brutal
The base-running mistakes killed them.
You are correct; at their level, both teams are exceptional and it is better neither dominated the other; that was especially evident in how both teams won games in the other’s home field.
I would agree that overall the Blue Jays are the better team. However, it only took very small failures by the Blue Jays, for the dodgers to eck out their wins in four of the seven games. Were the dodgers a truly “great” team or the blue jays a lousy team, the dodgers 4 wins over the blue jays would have been much greater than they were.
The dodgers 4 wins over the blue jays scored a total of 8 runs over the blue jays, but the blue jays scored a total of 16 runs over the dodgers in their three wins. The blue jays offense was overall better than the dodgers, while the dodgers defense held them off with slim few run victories, and one last time in the 7th game.
Do you have any more obvious examples of “fixing”... ?
