Reminds me of the 1965 World Series, which I listened to in Germany on an AM radio tuned to the Armed Forces Network station in Frankfurt. The Bums won it in seven over the Twins, but it was a nail-biter clear up to the final out, in which Dodger outfielder Jim Gilliam made a backhanded catch of a fly ball.

Dodgers, Charge!

Scherzer for Toronto and whilst no pitcher has been listed to start for the Dodgers yet, it may in fact be Glasnow.

Are you kidding? Ohtani’s starting the game tomorrow.

That play right there might have sealed the season..I didnt think the Dodgers would win, heck I called it after their last two disastrous games but they bounced back..great win! and stats show teams that go 7 games on the road end up winning the world series

Just keep Snell far away from the pitchers mound as possible

He has to start if they want to keep his bat. If I understand the rule, a starting pitcher can remain in the game as a hitter if he is pulled (switching with another position player, of course). But a relief pitcher cannot. Somebody correct me if I have that wrong.

Scherzer is the scheduled starter for game 7. They’re making a big deal about him starting his 2nd World Series game 7.

Game 7 will be classic. Ohtani will be the opener, probably, in order to stay in the line-up. Dodger hitters need to wake up.

4 days rest is normal. He pitched less than 5 innings on Monday

No, you’re thinking of how it used to be when the national league didn’t have the DH rule. Ohtani is in the DH position and he can pitch or be put into another position without having to pull him. As long as he remains the DH he stays in. They changed the rule especially for Ohtani when he was playing with the Angels. It’s known as the ‘Ohtani rule’ now days.

Yeah, I couldn’t believe that wedged ball.
It would be wild if the Dodgers won in Toronto.

Yes, the commentators were discussing just that. I was busy with a repair, so I wasn’t paying super close attention, but I believe you have it correct.

I would think Othani would be good for a couple innings of pitching, then pull him, but if he’s pitching great, maybe keep him in longer - just pull him at the first sign that he (Othani) is not at the very top of his pitching game.

I wonder what the odds of that wedgie are...

I think Billy Martin was the Twins manager.

Don’t give the betting people any more wacky ideas on how to wager their $$$.
But in several decades as a spectator, I’ve never seen the wedgie ball before.
