LBJ’s Great Society destroyed the black family unit.

But the free-trade Republicans deserve a share of the blame, too. When I graduated high school many decades ago, I had my choice of good factory jobs. The was no need to go on welfare. The work was there.

Those jobs are all gone now. They’re in China, Mexico, etc.
