Kinda what I was thinking....the plant used to allow workers to consume X # of beers during a shift but surely by now that has been deemed a safety issue and discontinued....I hope. 😲
These were apparently contractors and not employees................

I have a couple of friends who used to work for Stroh's in Detroit. Beer was available to the employees in taps throughout the brewery.

Every break room had at least one beer box. You could not drink out on the production floor but there was no limit on how many beers you could drink as long as you could do your job. That came to an end in March of 1986. No beer consumption allowed on premises except on special occasions.
