We essentially already had euthanasia to some extent.
As it was, it was about as good as it will get. Why?
It was only used in terminally ill patients that are in excruciating pain, i.e. cancer etc.
It was voluntary and a decision between that patient and doctor.
If you really were to dig, it would probably be questionable what killed some patients, the morphine drop and it’s suppression of breathing or the cancer. But this “can” be rationalized.
But where we are heading now is really bad. The same government and bureaucrats that decided giving puberty blockers to 9 year olds makes sense, now wants to decide on who gets to be euthanized, for what reason (why), how, when, where and by whom. What can possibly go wrong?
It’s not a slippery slope if it was part of the program all along.
Why is this even necessary? It’s easy to kill yourself if you’re serious about it. Is there some loophole for life insurance if it’s “medically assisted” instead?
