It’s certainly hard for people on our side to grasp the idea that us White people are looked at, by other White people, as RESPONSIBLE for, essentially, all of the problems on the planet and that the planet would be better off without us.
If we don’t reach that understanding of what we’re up against, then we lose - that simple.
Yes, in the long run they did - but I don’t think that it was apparent to many in the immediate aftermath of WW 2, or even into the Fifties. Maybe to some demographers or other experts, but certainly not most of the laypeople.
After all, as late as 1950, more than 20 per cent of the world’s population were Europeans - after their share of humanity had reached a pinnacle around 1914, with 25% of it.
And, the very same year, the then 150 million Americans were more than 86 per cent White (non-Hispanic) according to 1950 census data.
Thus, I would forgive the people of 1950 for not yet having been able to see the writing on the wall.
Sadly, nobody has ever had a crystal ball to see the future therein 😞
