Isn’t this just another form of photodynamic therapy? I was involved with something like this for an ophthalmic product but then the company sold that division off.
the article left out diarrhea as a side effect. When I had colo-rectal cancer in 1996 I had constant diarrhea for 2 months. The best I could eat was rice with chicken broth. Lost 40 pounds. The only real side effect, besides the internal radiation burns.
If I ever get a reoccurrence, I would opt for this treatment in a heartbeat.
Wonder if it works on toenail fungus.
Test done in a “test tube” isolated system. What does the light do to other normal cells which absorb the tin oxide flakes when this therapy is used in real human bodies?...
If they can hook up the tin oxide flakes to an antibody which ONLY attaches to tumor cells and they can irradiate (with IR light) only the tumor cells ( hard to do as tumor cells are in 3D arrays in deep tissue)....you might have something...for now it sounds like a “hey looka’ here”
“We can kill cells with a pile driver”. Like...big deal..
Sounds promising. I had melanoma about 25 years ago. Caught very early, so no radiation or chemo, just a quick slice and scan, then periodic dermatology appointments to check for recurrence.
But I still like to keep up with anything that sounds useful in case it ever comes back.
Like every other cure, this would be the last time you hear about it.
