Police officers are being told that their job is to ‘protect’ illegal aliens and rioters, and that federal enforcement, including the deployment of the National Guard is ‘unconstitutional’, and it will only take one or two police officers buying into this insurrectionist and secessionist rhetoric to trigger an incident on the street that begins with a physical confrontation and ends in a firefight.

That will not be a “tragic accident” or an “unfortunate incident” that Democrats and their media will blame on President Trump’s “overreach” and “militarization”, but the result of their plans.

We have people on this very forum who decry the ICE arrests, saying they are totalitarian, “Our Thugs” versus “Their Thugs”, and we complain about “Their Thugs”, while we praise and celebrate “Our Thugs”...and they simply do not seem to understand the difference.

I tried to explain the difference, but this person was too thick or ideologically pigeonholed to understand or accept that difference.

“Their Thugs” were the result of an illegitimate and corrupt election, preying on American citizens in contradiction to the guidelines of the Constitution...citizens who weren’t breaking the law, and “Our Thugs” who are American citizens, working for a legally elected government, enforcing Constitutionally passed legislation and laws on the books that AMERICANS voted for.

It was like talking to a brick wall. The person repeatedly quoted a Leftist (albeit a Leftist who generated very good quotes) H.L. Mencken, particularly his quote about democracy: “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

I find it amazing that a supposed “conservative” could not understand this difference between the actions of the Obama and illegitimate Biden Administrations in weaponizing government and persecuting their opponents in both the government and the citizenry, and the actions of ICE in enforcing Constitutionally valid laws on the books by a government in a legally valid election.

Of all the things I dislike in discourse, it is someone who draws a moral equivalency when there is no rational foundation to do so, and makes that the centerpiece of their argument.

A big problem is the media. If the MSM were constantly telling their audience that this is an insurrection, a threat to “our democracy” and a possible cause of a second Civil War, then a whole lot of people and politicians would be demanding that this stop immediately.

But, instead, the media encourages it.

Oh, and if the present government fails to deliver what we voted for and causes the other side to gain power again, all of you will painfully realize that ICE raids will be NOTHING compared to what Schumer, AOC, Mamdani, Newsom, Johnson, Waltz, Whitmer, Hillary, Pelosi and especially Obama from behind the scenes and many others like them are going to do to conservatives. The removal of illegal immigrants MUST continue unabated and ANY official standing in the way arrested or this nation is toast.
