Not just Rand Paul of Kentucky but Todd Young from Indiana, Murkowski of Alaska, Collins from Maine, Curtis of Utah and Lankford of Oklahoma.

Hail hail the gang of squishes are all here!

Can we investigate those “Republicans” for taking cartel payoffs?

“I wonder how many of these Republicans are on the take from the cartels?”

I don’t know. But it’s strange. I suspect blowing up narco boats is a slam dunk winner in the polls — especially among Republicans.

The sailors aren’t US citizens, they are in international waters and they are bringing poison to our country. Not sure why any R would oppose this publicly.

Tell them: Stop traveling with Drug Mules then.

They’ll likely live longer.

It’s extremely likely they ALL know what they’re participating in.

The destruction of countless other people through highly-addictive and illegal drugs.

I have questions. Why did he not start the drug war on Jan. 20th 2025?

You therefore might be blowing up innocents. Not good. I’m not surprised a lot of GOP senators are grumbling about it but only Rand has guts

How many times have you went fishing with 4 outboard motors on your stern of a cigarette boat putting out a combined total of 1000 plus horsepower. Mercs biggest engine will produce 600 horsepower. It will cost you 50 to 60 K. I must admit it distress me to see those engineering marvels sink to the bottom of the sea. Otherwise I approve 100%.

PS I agree with Rand Paul on most things. On this one he is wrong.

Yes I know the intelligence is top notch and I dont question it But the stats Rand mentioned: A quarter to a third of suspected drug boats are nothing of the sort So , you’re probably blowing up the occasional innocent person (one is surely too many?!!) with a blanket policy like this..

It is not uncommon for the drug runners to dump their load at sea to be picked up by another very innocent looking fishing boat. Occasionally it will wash up on Florida's shores.

Alright / no convincing you or many Freepers on this. I accept it

BUT they still dont deserve the death pen and to blown up however heinous their operation is. As you point out yourself some of them just after a payday , some won’t have a clue or be in the loop.

The bosses/true masterminds are not even touched.

Congress authorized Bin Laden’s killing through the AUMF Act of 2001. Although the AUMF was initially limited to terrorists associated with 9/11, Presidents Bush, Obama, and Biden took a broader view and have used the Act to justify the killing of any person associated with a terrorist organization. Several bills have been introduced in Congress to scale back the AUMF to its original scope and intent, but the legislation has yet to pass.

With that background, President Trump has lawfully declared Tren de Aragua a terrorist organization, and has lawfully taken military action against members of that terrorist organization under the authority of the AUMF. The difference between Trump’s actions under the AUMF and the actions of his predecessors is that Trump has attacked the terrorist drug runners in international territories, whereas Bush, Biden, and Obama invaded foreign countries to kill the terrorists.

Heh, I was at a hotel bar up in Bar Harbor in Maine where I went late at night to get a nightcap. There was a guy there, and we began chatting. At some point, he told me he had been on a beach down in Florida, seen an object floating in the water, swam out to it, and it was a bale of pot.

They took it home and, er..”invested” it and made a lot of money from that.

Normally, I take those stories with a grain of salt, but they appeared to have money, and didn’t seem like the kind of people who were going to make it legitimately!

How many Venezuelans can afford those speedboats, Dumbass? Just one of those motors on those speedboats costs 10s of thousands of dollars.
