Just like many things “reported” coming from China, it will not scale beyond the lab. Empty promises. Empty promises. Empty promises.

Eventually, all the research being done on improved batteries will result in much increased energy density, fast recharges, long life and lower cost.

It is already happening incrementally. Batteries are much better today than they were 5, 10, 15, or 20 years ago.

“If it scales beyond the lab”

“we just need to work some kinks out in the manufacturing”

“we just need a few hundred million more investment”

i’ve been reading these statements regarding magic new battery technologies for the last 40 years ... these statements don’t change and neither do the batteries ...

Someday, somewhere, and NOT from the Babylon Bee, there will be a story about getting electricity from the atmosphere. They will copy the paragraphs from Atlas Shrugged, and people will believe it.

The people who fall for it will then receive articles about how to use your solar panels more efficiently at night.
