United States President Donald Trump denounced in a Truth Social post on Wednesday a report by the Wall Street Journal of the US allowing Ukraine to strike "deep into Russia" with Western-made long-range weapons as "fake news."

"The US has nothing to do with those missiles, wherever they may come from, or what Ukraine does with them!" he clarified.

In the report, WSJ stated that Washington gave the green light to Kiev to attack Russia with British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles before Trump met with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House last week.

Tass is trying to confirm this story what matters two things US satellites would be used to help British missiles hit deep inside Russia.

Also, the report said that the US General in command in Europe will authorize the long-range hits on Russia not Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon.

I doubt that. That would mean the US General in command has more authority than either Trump or Hegseth.

Trump’s previous policy was that any strike using US intel and targeting information, including British supplied Storm Shadow missiles, require US approval. It’s not clear that this latest mission required US assets and thus approval. Trump’s statement appears to say it did not. If the policy did change, the leaker should be prosecuted and jailed. Unless he was “leaking” with the approval of the White House.
