He discussed the ongoing demolition of the White House East Wing and took time to rip Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who was the only Republican senator not in attendance.
“We’re just missing one person. You’ll never guess who that it is,” Trump said. “He automatically votes no on everything. He thinks it’s good politics. It’s not good politics.”

Amazing
“It’s a big club and you ain’t in it”
Daniel Cameron is currently the leading candidate for the GOP Primary for Senate in 2026 (McConnell is not running for re-election).
Emphasis on “currently.” His lead has been both consistent and significant - but not sure he can sustain that with his present lackluster fundraising. And it appears the Democrats are planning to make a play for the seat by talking Amy McGrath into running again, who vastly outraised and outspent even Mitch McConnell in 2020. While she did terribly in that election even with all of that, this current crop of candidates don’t have McConnell’s campaign prowess.
If Scott Jennings were to jump into the race...it could change. But I’d actually rather Jennings himself make the run for governor. He would be able to clean out the executive branch...and he’d be another high profile Republican governor with a good head on his shoulders. He is very good at explaining things and convincing people and he may be in a better position as governor to make a difference vs. 1 of 100 Senators.
| This is politics... And Trump wanted to make sure people know exactly why Randall Paul was not invited. And yes, it's a shot across the bow of other Republicans who are thinking about voting against President Trump's agenda. One other thing: it's time for the guy who calls himself "Rand" to go by his real first name, Randall. I suspect Randall Paul adopted the nickname "Rand" to try to link his libertarian politics to the philosophy of Ayn Rand. But libertarians like Randall are not in sync with the philosophy of Ayn Rand. Here's what Goggle's search summary says:
No, Ayn Rand was not a libertarian and vehemently opposed the movement, viewing it as a dangerous offshoot of anarchism and a rejection of the principles of capitalism she supported. However, her philosophy of Objectivism has been a significant influence on many modern libertarians, particularly in the United States, who sometimes use her ideas to justify their own political views, even while Rand condemned their perceived embrace of anti-capitalism, according to Wikipedia and Libertarianism.org. If there's one US politician who exemplifies the pro-capitalism and strong leadership of a Howard Roark or John Galt, it's:

Great comment poconopundit, and congrats on Japan electing Prime Minister Takaichi. May she be successful for the people of Japan, and may she remain safe.
Tell those two idiots to grow up.

“That is a direct intimidating threat to those who were there and were invited. “See what happens if you don’t do what I tell you to do! That is what happened to this guy! He was not invited because he did not do what I wanted him to do!”
I’m not seeing the problem here.

| Glad you liked the comment, mass55th. I also wish the best for the new PM here in Japan, Takaichi. Abe was good for Japan and she was on his team. She's meeting President Trump soon. It would be wise of her to make President Trump a key mentor. Then again... How do you replicate the experience of: running a multi-billion dollar global business, building skyscrapers in mammoth cities, and having a 15 year success as a television personality/mogul? Step 1. Learn to swing a golf club, Prime Minister :- ) |
"Step 1. Learn to swing a golf club, Prime Minister :- )"
LOL!! You never know, maybe she already knows how to.
