Breitbart ^

Posted on 10/21/2025 5:43:13 AM PDT by Tench_Coxe

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said that there is an expiration date for Obamacare subsidies “because that was all that we could get. But we’ve been arguing for a renewal of those tax credits for months. So, I don’t accept that particular Republican talking point” that the expiration date Democrats put into place is a Democratic policy.

Non-fact based people default to this as if, in and of itself, is a complete repudiation of whatever is inconvenient.

Not one single Republican voted for the ACA. Try again, Jamie.

Medicare Premium Bill....Current Premium Due...Total Amount Due $555.00 by 10/25/2025”

That’s from a document that came on the 6th.

That’s $185/month.

I paid that last night.

At least two House districts were never allowed a vote thanks to two governors who refused to call for prompt special elections to fill vacated House seats.

Thank you Judas Pence and Dave Paterson.

Feminization of society. Specifically, feminization of the Left. Remove all reason and accountability, and you have their party platform and talking points.

1. Most people do not follow politics to that level of detail.

2. Most people cannot remember that far back.

3. Most people believe their leaders.

4. Most politicians stay in office for years decades.

5. So there appears to be no down side to politicians lying!

Rat-fark: “...we’ve been arguing for a renewal of those tax credits for months...”

Um, the ACA YOU wrote & voted for, is ~15 YEARS old.

Let alone the ACA is wholly illegal (on multiple fronts) & NOBODY is obligated to another.

Subsidies mean it’s not market based so how do we deliver when poor people are ‘allowed’ to die?

Health savings accounts will allow people who don’t trust their doctors to spend their own money on further tests.

Where does that leave poor people who have no savings? Perhaps minimum testing and legal protections will keep the illegals from saving $100 for a clinic visit and showing up at the emergency room without paying.

He is talking about the design of the ACA bill. They had their own internal factions that wanted more than they could get through their own committees. It was those that those items they could not get passed.

Meaning, they passed the bill with this deadline in place because their more extreme left wing types had to give that expiration to their lesser left wing types to get the 60 votes reqd in the Senate. They got exactly 60 votes, all Dem, but not all as far left as the next guy.

There is a lot of talk about 20 million people added to the ACA enrollment since 2018 or so. And 2/3 are in red states.

That’s not a good measure. The deep south is likely most of those. The right measure is how many in those deep south states voted GOP. I will bet it’s many fewer than 2/3 of 20 million.

That’s Medicare not Obamacare/ACA. Totally unrelated to each other.
