A man waited more than 50 years to carry out his vengeance after being bullied at school.
South Dakota man Carl Ericsson never forgot how his bully Norman Johnson pulled a jockstrap over his head in a high school locker room when he was younger.
Retired Madison High School teacher and track coach Norman Johnson had answered his front door only to get shot twice in the face.

Vengeance is mine, sayeth The Lord.
I was treated very poorly by two former business partners. I spent several months fantasizing about doing evil things to them. Then the fantasies didn’t work for me anymore. I forgave them, confessed my thoughts and moved on with my life which was actually so much better without them. And now, twenty years later, I can barely remember their names or what they did.
It may have been for embarrassment instead of bullying, but the Friends episode with guest star Julia Roberts was quite entertaining.
Lots of good comedy in many series about bullying responses years after the fact
This sounds like Irish dementia (where one forgets everything but his grudges).
To back Ericsson's May plea, Bratland had presented an affidavit from psychiatrist Robert Giebink that revealed Ericsson has an extensive history of anxiety disorders and battles "severe and recurrent depression that is, for the most part, treatment resistant."
Child molesters. They’re out there. The good news is none of them molested me. As I see it it’s using one’s power over the innocent and powerless and I believe in karma. You hold it in for 30 years, strike back, and you will probably see others come forward as victims. We’ve all seen it in the news, especially with catholic priests. 30 years down the road who’s gonna know who the victims were?
Bullies-get over it.

"Junior Barnes.....You Gunky!"
I agree. I got bullied a lot, too. I came to realize if I met many of those people today, they would be ashamed.
In that light, I tend to forgive them and not hold a grudge. Never did, once I became an adult.
In re teenage bullying, we were all still kids. I don’t think any of us were fully responsible for what we did yet. Partially, sure.
Columbo would figure it out for sure.
Episode title “A Strapping Good Time”
👍👍
Seriously? A man is dead for a stupid teenage prank he pulled 50 years ago, and the perpetrator who thought he would feel better after killing him is going away to prison for the rest of his life. Both likely have families. I don’t see the happiness here.
I must admit, had I a untraceable gun at the time I was in HS, and if I could have gotten fully away with it Don Corleone Style, I would have taking out our HS shit head, too...
I was bullied twrribly growing up, usually because I was heavy. When my kidneys started failing at fifteen, I lost all of the water weight that people thought was body fat, and I stopped caring what others think. I had survival to worry about.
Admittedly, bullying made me more resilient and it made me give less than zero sh¡ts about how others view me in adulthood.
I’ll bet Ol’ Norm was surprised.
No telling how many kids he bullied as a coach.
👍👍
