Two children have been charged with the rape and attempted murder of a five-year-old girl.
The youngster was left completely 'unrecognizable' after a gang of bullies not only beat her, but also scalped her last month in Cleveland, Ohio, her mother previously said.
On Wednesday a ten-year-old girl and nine-year-old boy were hit with various charges, including four counts of rape, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said.
The unidentified minors also face one count of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of strangulation.
'Given the sensitive nature of this case, we decline to release any additional details and decline to comment further,' the prosecutor's office said.
The girl's mother described the moment she saw her daughter following the ordeal.
'What I saw was unbelievable,' the girl's mom told Cleveland 19. 'My daughter was not my daughter. Her hair was scalped from her head. She had bruises and blood all over her body.
'Her eyes were filled with blood. Her lips and mouth were filled with blood. Her nails had debris and dirt stuck in it.'

I wish I hadn’t looked at the photo of the damage they did. They completely pulled out a lot of hair from her scalp. Hopefully they’ll be able to do hair transplants.
Those two evil children need to be locked up. This is not the first time they have acted like this. If they’re not locked up it won’t be the last time either.
