What do you mean by that?
Go Fund Me and similar have been used for all kinds of personal setbacks; even by people here on FR.
I’ve never seen a Freeper do it, but there are some crazy GoFundMe’s. I don’t think I’d have the nerve to do it, even if the situation was dire.
And one of her sons was pretending to be homeless a couple years ago.
You don’t know what you’ll wind up doing when disaster strikes and you feel desperate for aid.
How many millions did they blow through, so to speak?
Here’s what people don’t realize: the songwriter, who own the publishing rights. He didn’t have those. He was only with the band for less than two years, all on tour. He didn’t make an album with them. He was probably a contractor, not even a member of the band. I bet he never made a lot of money from that. I doubt he ever made six figures in a year, but I could be wrong.
I don’t know anything about them. I haven’t followed popular music since the 1970s.
But are you suggesting that people who may have made mistakes in life are unworthy of mercy and human kindness?)
heard a story from a guitarist who was painting houses for a living, he was painting a big rock stars house and recognized him and said " hey weren't you guys at monsters of rock in Germany last year?" He answered " yep" so what are you doing now? , what's it look like, im painting houses.
very few make it big. And being a fill in gets you $200 a show.
I do.
I’m there, now.
I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

Why can’t he get a J.O.B.? Or will he only accept work as a guitarist?
He’s been ill; but he’s offering his services as a guitar teacher. People tend to work at what they know.
I met a former songwriter about 25 years ago. He was acting as a guide for hunts on a Texas ranch. He said he gave up songwriting after working at if for years, and only having one hit. He said having the hit only meant he slept in a better grade of car.
It is a tough way to make a living. He was a good guide on the Texas ranch.
Another such post...
We post what is most important to us.
Unfortunately.
He probably was paid a per-diem.
Would he then be living “Under the Bridge”?
“You don’t know what you’ll wind up doing when disaster strikes and you feel desperate for aid.”
I wonder if you park your arse outside of a church or homeless center if that would work?
The beggers around here are seen at intersections and later at convenience stores working the scratch-off ticket investment strategy.
That’s very different from a ‘go fund me’ type of thing where nobody is personally confronted.
