Miriam Margoyles had Late Late Show presenter Patrick Kielty in stitches on Friday night as she expressed her delight at being a ‘left wing d*ke.’
The long-standing Friday night chat show saw the British-Australian actress joining Kielty on the couch, alongside comedian Emma Doran and international rugby player, Andrew Porter.
The ever funny Miriam got a lesson on funeral sandwiches from Emma Doran and also spoke of why it’s so importance for her to speak out on the atrocities in Gaza.
Elsewhere in their conversation, Miriam had Patrick cracking up as she spoke of being ‘unapologetically woke.’
She said: ‘I’m a left wing d*ke — and I love it.’
Spurred on by chuckles from the audience, Miriam continued: ‘I love being a lesbian. I’m not going to apologise for that. It’s great fun.’
Patrick then gets into a fit of chuckles, with Miriam giggling along with him.
‘But what is the secret to the twinkle in the eye, Miriam?’ the presenter asked her, with Miriam taking a moment to consider the question, ‘Where does the fun come from?’
‘The fun in being a lesbian?’ the 84-year-old questions with a smirk before a round of applause ensues and herself and Patrick are giggling again.
The sweet moment was shared to the Late Late social pages, captioned: ‘Never change @miriammargoylesofficial, never change.’

Social media users took to the comments expressing their love for the actor, with one writing: ‘Omg loved seeing her live on Friday! So many laughs!’
Another added: ‘Saw Miriam at the Hall for Cornwall recently and you could feel the love for her in the theatre. I love the way she’s able to talk about any topic, in the funniest, but kindest way.’
A third commented: ‘Love her she’s so honest and funny.

I hadda look her up. Yeah, I can see why she’s a dike. Or, is it dyke? Or is it, reprehensible sub human excuse of a woman?
Pretty funny in BlackAdder, indeed. The Christmas special (as Queen Victoria), and yes, the Spanish Infanta, and in Series 2, the “Beer” episode in which she plays Lady WhiteAdder, the Puritan aunt of Edmund...good stuff!
