Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was caught on camera taking a nasty tumble in the hallway of a Senate office building Thursday.

The 83-year-old, who was en route to the Capitol for votes, grabbed at an aide’s arm seconds before he went down.

McConnell, who announced in February that he would not seek another term next year, was quickly helped to his feet by the aide and a guard.

“”Yeah, but he’s aiming for literally dying ‘in office’...............””””

Maybe they have a funeral home right there in the Capital . It would be a booming business.

Nancy Pelosi is 85 years old, 2 years older than Mitch McConnell. This isn’t the first time Mitch McConnell has demonstrated that there is something wrong with his health. I suspect Mitch knew he lost his balance and grabbed an aide’s arm to hold him up. The reason he isn’t running for reelection is because he knew he would lose in the primary rather than for his health. Mitch likely wouldn’t end up like Diane Feinstein, who died while she was still Senator. Mitch will probably keep falling down until he leaves office. I don’t think Mitch likes using a wheelchair while in DC.

If he’s going to be a pimp, he might as well look like one.

Isn't there a method to replace this relic before he pulls a biden and dies in office?

If he were to resign {or go ace/deuce} there would be a special election in KY and another would finish his term until the 2026 election (Jan 2027 installation) and then they would vote for a new 6 year term.

He ain’t resigning bro...thst much is obvious.

Dug in like a tick in a dog’s ear that relic is.....SMH

When I retired in 2019 at 59 1/2 the guy in the cube across from me was 75 and had absolutely NO plans to retire.

I heard recently he JUST did.....for some people their job is all they have.....now throw in the power and obvious GRIFT people like McConnell and pelosi have exploited forcso long and they just can’t walk away from it.

"Nothing against the man, but gathering from my own experience I’d say he would have best retired sooner."

Along with the fact that he has brain farts from time to time when speaking to the press, and has to be led away, he should have been gone a long time ago. And the fact that none of his party members in Congress are pushing him to go because of his infirmity, tells me they are as clueless as he is.

He can’t resign. KY has a Dem. Governor who would appoint a Dem. replacement.

Power hungry dying on their thrones. Do any of these people just humble themselves from the arrogant self importance and leave?

American politburo is so resemblant of the old Russian CCCP.

I am sorry about the Senator’s failing health.

At my current age, health challenges are coming one after the other. Getting old ain’t for sissies.

The framers were wise to set a minimum age limit for federal office. There needs to be a constitutional amendment to set a ceiling as well. No more 80-year-old congressman and presidents.
